A Stakeholder's Analysis of the Effect of Mobile Money in Developing Countries: The Case of Orange Money in Mali

Résumé

This book chapter examines stakeholders of mobile money services and systems in developing countries through the case of Orange Money in Mali. Using Stakeholder Theory, Diffusion of Innovation Theory and the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology, the study draws on data from 110 respondents. The results characterise stakeholders of the mobile money system and show that each stakeholder has specific drivers and challenges affecting adoption.
